Bernhard Frohwitter, Majority Shareholder, Managing Director, and Chairman of the Executive Board at ParTec since 2004, is a seasoned leader with expertise in engineering, patent law, and high-tech innovation. Previously, he served 10 years as a development engineer at MBB and patent expert, founded Frohwitter Intellectual Property Counselors in 1998, and led IPCom GmbH and others to generate €1.5 billion in licensing. His visionary leadership propels ParTec’s continued growth and innovation.
Hans Kilger, CFO of ParTec AG since August 2023, oversees finance, PR, and investor relation. He previously chaired the Supervisory Board. Since the 1990s, he has been a majority owner in a variety of industries and holds various supervisory roles. Kilger ensures strategic financial management and transparent stakeholder communication at ParTec.
Thomas Moschny, CTO of ParTec since 2013 and Executive Board member since 2022, drives innovation in advanced supercomputing. Joining ParTec as a software developer in 2007, he led the development of ParaStation Modulo and the dMSA technology enabling heterogeneous HPC, AI, and Quantum systems. With a background in physics and computer science, he previously conducted research at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology on high-speed networks and parallel programming. As the head of the IT department, he is also responsible for the internal IT infrastructure and strategy.
Nurcan Rasig, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at ParTec and board member since March 2023, leads sales strategies and customer relations. With a mathematics background and extensive experience at IBM, Cray, and HPE, she has driven some of Europe’s largest high-performance computing projects. Rasig’s expertise strengthens ParTec’s growth and market presence.
Ina Schmitz, CPO at ParTec and Management Board member since October 2022, applies for and monitors the implementation of R&D projects and provides strategic guidance for supercomputing, AI and quantum computing initiatives. With over a decade at ParTec, her leadership drives success in advanced computing projects and collaborations.
Frank Westermann, Chief Human Resources and Corporate Development Officer at ParTec and board member since October 2022, oversees personnel and corporate development. With a strong background in economics and leadership experience at large international corporations and medium-sized family businesses, Westermann drives growth and cultivates a supportive workplace culture.
Prof. Dr. Reimund Neugebauer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at ParTec, is a proven expert in mechanical engineering and forming technology and was President of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft for more than a decade until 2023, leading one of the most renowned application-oriented scientific organisations in Europe. Prior to this, Professor Neugebauer headed the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU in Chemnitz for 21 years, turning it into an international leading partner for the automotive and mechanical engineering industry. Prof. Neugebauer has been a member of the German Chancellor’s Future Council and the renowned Innovation Dialogue of Chancellor Merkel. He is a fellow of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP), an international Advisor of Fukushima Research, Innovation and Education Institute (F-REI) in Japan as well as a member of acatech – National Academy of Science and Engineering in Germany.
Prof. Dr. Thomas Schulthess, Professor of Computational Physics at ETH Zurich and Director of the Swiss National Supercomputing Center (CSCS) since 2008, is a prominent leader in high-performance computing. A two-time recipient of the ACM Gordon Bell Prize, he pioneered groundbreaking petascale simulations at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Under his leadership, CSCS developed Europe’s first GPU-accelerated supercomputing system and co-designed MeteoSwiss’ advanced weather forecasting model for GPU architectures, earning the prestigious Swiss ICT Award in 2016.
