Consulting
Expertise as key to success
At ParTec we strongly believe in expertise as the cornerstone to any successful project. Our team is made of experts with extensive experience and industry knowledge, but most of all they have a deep understanding of our clients’ needs. For us it’s not just about what we know, but the difference lies in how we apply this knowledge with precision and insight. Below you will find an overview of how we can help.
General HPC Advisory
ParTec offers consulting services for HPC procurements, including technical aspects related to the overall architecture of the system, selection of hardware and software components as well as legal advice related to procurement law, contracting, and IPR. We also have the role of a technology partner for hosting sites.
Consulting for Hosting Site Applications
For parties applying for a EuroHPC JU hosting agreement, which is required to receive funding for a EuroHPC supercomputer, ParTec offers a specific consulting service. Like research projects, hosting agreements are awarded based on a competitive analysis of proposals submitted to specific EuroHPC calls.
The service covers all phases from the definition of the hosting agreement consortium to the final decision by the EuroHPC JU. It includes general project management and coordination, assistance with all technical parts of the proposal, editorial support for proposal documents, advice on contractual issues and compliance with formal requirements and help during negotiations and hearings.
Two reference customers are LuxProvide and KIFÜ.
Consulting Services for HPC and QC Procurements
For parties purchasing a modular supercomputer, ParTec offers consulting services for HPC and QC procurements.
Use Case: The EU Destination Earth Flagship Project
A recent example of our engagement is our collaboration with the Destination Earth European flagship initiative (involving the European Space Agency, EUMERTSAT and the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts), where we provided consulting on how to best achieve seamless federation of geographically and organizationally distributed supercomputer resources and integrate streaming of data, in partnership with the European Technology Platform for High Performance computing (ETP4HPC).

Performance and Early Technology Evaluation
In our exploration of the frontiers of computing, ParTec investigates novel classical computing technologies besides non-Von-Neumann architectures such as quantum computing. Together with customers and partners, we study the architecture, programmability, and performance of new processor technologies, and develop new methodologies for modeling and projecting application performance.
Customer Use Case: NextSilicon
In October 2025, ParTec AG successfully delivered NextSilicon’s second-generation Maverick-2 accelerator cards to the Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB). With this deployment, ZIB becomes the first European customer to adopt NextSilicon’s Maverick-2 platform. The delivery marks an important milestone in the ongoing collaboration between ParTec, NextSilicon Ltd., and ZIB.
Maverick-2 introduces an intelligent, software-defined hardware acceleration approach that enables real-time adaptation to application demands, delivering improved performance and energy efficiency for HPC, AI, and vector database workloads. The deployment at ZIB allows researchers to accelerate a broad range of high-performance computing applications while improving overall system efficiency. As a member of Germany’s National High-Performance Computing Consortium (NHR), ZIB continues to expand its advanced computing capabilities in support of scientific research and innovation.
In addition to system delivery and technical assistance, ParTec is providing comprehensive user support to ensure efficient adoption of the Maverick-2 platform by ZIB users. This delivery builds on earlier joint activities, such as hackathons and hands-on workshops, and further reinforces ParTec’s role as NextSilicon’s trusted European partner.

European Policy Engagement
For more than 14 years, selected ParTec employees have contributed in personal capacity to European high-performance computing strategy through advisory and industry platforms such as the Research and Innovation Advisory Group (RIAG) of the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking and ETP4HPC, the industry-led think-tank European Technology Platform for High performance Computing.
The commitment to these bodies reflects the professional expertise of individual ParTec team members and their long-standing involvement in European HPC developments.
It does not constitute institutional policy advisory by ParTec as a company.
These engagements underscore our deep integration within Europe’s high-performance computing ecosystem and our commitment to sovereign, future-ready compute infrastructure.
