AI Solution Architect

Job Summary

An AI Solution architect is responsible for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High Performance Computing (HPC) solution offering in the presales phase and for ensuring that the solution meets the company’s needs. As our AI Solution Architect, you’ll lead the way in using artificial intelligence to create innovative solutions for our business needs. Your main job is to figure out how to make the most of AI to help our organization grow and succeed. You’ll use your expertise in AI to come up with advanced strategies and solutions.

Primary duties and responsibilities

  • Meet AI and HPC customers, in both commercial and public sector, understand their needs and discuss their project
  • Position yourself as a trusted advisor to AI/HPC customers and support them in training and/or retraining large AI models for scientific and industrial use cases
  • Design AI and HPC winning solutions that fulfil customer requirements both technically and commercially
  • Define and guide the technical direction and overall architectural vision for AI and GenAI projects
  • Participate in deep-dive discussions, articulate ParTec value proposition, and successfully demonstrate benefits of the proposed solution in addressing and resolving customer business challenges
  • Audit AI tools and practices across data and software engineering, focusing on improvement and feedback mechanisms
  • Support customer meetings through the presentation of ParTec’s offering and solutions highlighting ParTec differentiation
  • Create and lead the AI strategy, finding ways to incorporate AI throughout the organization, and establishing/guiding the plan for AI projects
  • Provide feedback to the HPC/AI Product Management team and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and product managers, to deliver AI solutions that meet business needs
  • Support the optimization and creation of customer’s AI and HPC workflows on modular computing architectures
  • Collaborate with the QC team on QML use cases, quantum data encoding and algorithms
  • Keep up to date with developments in the AI ecosystem when it comes to platforms, tooling and software and associated considerations for hosting and skills needed to run AI workflows

Required skills and experience

  • Bachelor of Science or similar technical degree, master’s degree or Ph.D as a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in technology industry with focus on solution selling
  • 5+ years of experience in AI, Data Science, Statistics and Machine Learning
  • Proven experience as an AI architect including work with generative AI
  • Experience with training foundation and large language models
  • Basic knowledge of quantum machine learning and data encoding as a plus
  • Experience in Presales position
  • Ability to understand and influence customer demands, to analyse and to present how ParTec systems can address the needs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical ability
  • Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, international environment and to communicate across all levels
  • Fluent use (written & spoken) of German and English language
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with self initiative

  • Location: Germany or Switzerland
  • Flexible work hours, flexible workplace including home office
  • Office environment available at our German headquarter in Munich
  • This position involves travel and customer visits
