Scientific Project Manager

The ParTec AG is a dynamic engineering consultancy and support company specialized on High Performance Computing solutions. We provide software and support to our customers for running High Performance Cluster systems.

Our business’s success is dependent almost entirely on the technical and management skills of our employees, their capacity to meet customer expectations and deliver innovative clustering solutions.

We are looking for a scientific project manager to assist our project management team in all administrative and coordination tasks within national and EU funded projects including the monitoring and support of work progress, quality, and reporting.

A suitable candidate will have proven track record in science management and the ability to work independently as well as in a team of software developers, support analysts and scientists with heterogeneous backgrounds. ParTec is particularly interested in persons qualified in the following areas:


  • University degree (Masters), preferably in a natural science, physics, mathematics or computer science
  • Performance history in the management of scientific projects
  • Experience with the organisation of events
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to project meetings, conferences, and exhibitions
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Good command of MS Office tools
  • Interest in computing and technology in a scientifically determined context


  • Experience in financial monitoring and budget control activities of projects on national and EU level
  • Experience in dissemination activities, relations with social media, journalists, etc.

The candidate is required to have good communication skills in both German and English (both spoken and written). Working in small teams, ParTec offers diverse areas of work that give individuals the opportunity to work on some of the world’s most advanced supercomputers.
